The rooms were decent, excellent location, the staff was amazingly friendly. Barbara the bartender at the lounge was phenomenal. The next time I am in Daytona I will be staying at The Mayan Inn. I highly recommend it.
We liked just abouf everything, somethings shldnt have haopened but they will be addressed under what we didnt like below. Other than those, it was a great stay.
Hmm well it says not to use this to complain, so I will not say what we didnt like because it is complaints. Pushy maids, and night clerk curssed like a sailor, didnt appreciate that much with a child!!
Reasonable price for on the beach location, near convention center, includes breakfast
South side is noisey bar open til late
ocean front balcony
needs renovations desparately
The location was perfect for beach combing and family activites. The boardwalk was a great perk. Hope the skyway gets moving again.
leaving was the hardest part
I have seen a lot of bad reviews about this hotel but I decided to give it a try anyways and Im glad I did!!! Our room was beautiful, the staff was beyond amazing! We arrived at 5am the day of check in and were not suppose to be there till 3pm but they let us get our room early with no extra charge! We traveled with 2 19yr old boys and the staff totally loved them like they were family which is not common for hotels to welcome teenagers. Location was perfect, 5 min walk to the pier and boardwalk. And everyone that complains about the noise from the Ocean Deck restaurant/bar is crazy, we could only hear the band playing at night when we were sitting on our balcony, you couldn't hear anything once we were in our room. And our room was on the same side as the bar! We will stay here again for sure!!!!.....Oh and we didnt see the first bug anywhere!! I saw a lot or reviews saying that people had bugs in their room!! Totally not true!!
Hmmm....the balcony handrail could use repainting...thats the only thing I found wrong with the entire hotel!!!
Just the location!
The hotel was dirty very much in despair would never recommend to anyone. bugs in room maid service left dead bugs never cleaned them up!! Totally disgusting really sad because location was great!!
Loved the location and the large room with kitchen.
We liked most about the Mayan was the location on the Beach. They have a pool behind the hotel and from there you can walk right out to the beach. Very pretty location and views. Walking distance to alot of shops and places to eat and drink.
Outside of the hotel was in disrepair, had large cracks and holes around major windows, in need of alot of paint repair. Garbage stayed in the hallways with overflowing garbage cans for too long without being disposed of. Had 2 Elevators, one was broke most of the time, the other was up to a 5 minute wait. Inside the elevator was in disrepair, dirty and filthy, smelled bad. The elevator was so slow that me and my wife took the stairs from the top floor (8th) all the way down to the 1st floor carrying all of our bags and that was 2 trips worth. We had large cracks in our ceiling also. A bar is located just next of the Mayan, on the beach was a live band. They played all day and into the night to about 3am. Very loud and we could not sleep at all because of it, not relaxing witch is what we wanted at the beach. I mean very loud, we could not hear our outdated T.V. because of it. Live music everyday and night at that Bar. But if you want to party, it is perfect and within 30 second walk from the Mayan. We were very lucky to get a parking spot at the hotel, doubled parked cars and overflow from the bar.
The location was amazing and the view from our room was amazing
It was very nice all the employees that we came in contact with were very nice, JoANN at the front desk was ver nice and helpful..My husband and I needed a get away, I just lost my sister and have been very depressed.Grieving is very difficult mentally and physically it really made a big difference to get away for a few days thank you
Overpriced Dirty Cockroach infested Would not stay there again if you paid me.
the location was very good, the front drsk was great.
the bar next door was to loud to late. the tv too small and fuzzy. the shower was like was way to hard and the shower curtin had mold on the bottom. the hotel bar inside was never open? the food in the am was poor. some of the staff was not helpful.
This inn is perfect for people wanting to spend time at the Daytona Beach boardwalk. Unfortunately it rained our entire trip, but luckily with the prime location of this resort we were able to quickly walk to the boardwalk shoppes and spend the day there staying dry.
Friendly Staff and the amenities in the room where neat. View of the Atlantic ocean was priceless.
Very limited breakfast bar, weak juice, dispenser. My room was missing a Ironing board.
